http://www.oakridgeartcenter.org/

Today, I didn't go to the local art center. Snow fell during the morning, so the art center was closed. Last year, I started going back to the Art Center. It is a small gallery where only a few people are working, but the atmosphere is very nice.
"Open studio" is held every Friday from 9 am to 12 o'clock. Anyone can use this space to work on any kind of project. Often we would have a coffee break and chat about our projects. Many years ago I joined some art classes here. http://www.oakridgeartcenter.org/

I stopped going when there were personal troubles in my life. Now it's good to meet people again. However, I started the underpainting at home today.

Strong lights in the front and the path, there are reflections on branches that suggested something like creatures.
ReplyDeleteI imagined "Conversation between the path and a man." at present.
Kunio
Right...my private conversations with the path haven't been all that good, lately, hasn't it? .. perhaps this image is what that conversation is about..I don't know.
DeleteAs more layers of paint go on, it will get colder, I'm hoping. Much of the umber color will serve as color for branches. I just add the cool blues and violets to the spaces between the branches and let the branch itself (the underpainting) take shape. In other cases, the branches are already painted, so there will be variation of shapes and effects throughout the painting....I'm hoping!
