怪我です。

先週の木曜日に、私は屋根の修理をしました。 嵐の時に木が屋根を打ったので、それに屋根修理会社が覆いを被せました。 保険会社と屋根修理会社が見積もりに合意するまでの一時的な覆いです。 最近、別の嵐でその覆いが緩んだので、それを修正することにしました。 私は屋根に上って覆いを釘付けにしました。 それから私はガレージにはしごを運びました。

翌日私は怪我していたことに気付きました。 私は左の股関節に痛みを感じたので、 週末ずっとベッドにいました。 これを英語で"pinched nerve"と言います。 私は痛み止めの薬を飲むと気持ち悪くなるので、飲むことができません。 私は痛みに耐えなければなりませんでした。 4日後に、調子が良くなりました。

昨日、私は見積もりを受け取りました。 修理費用は、$8,029.00ドルです。 日本円で、892536.87円くらいです。 保険が適用されます。 私は$500ドルの自己負担分を支払います。 屋根には新しい土台が必要なので、屋根を完全に張り替えてしまいます。 嬉しいです！

Last Thursday, I made repairs to my roof. A tree hit my roof during a storm, so it was patched by a roof repair company. It is a temporary patch until insurance and a roof repair company can agree on an estimate. Recently, another storm loosened the patch, so I decided to fix it. I climbed onto the roof and nailed down the patch. Then I carried the ladder back to the garage.

The next day, I realized I was injured. I felt pain in my left hip, so I was in bed all weekend. We call it a "pinched nerve" in English. I can't take medicine for the pain, because it makes me sick. I have to tolerate the pain. Four days later, I felt better.

Yesterday, I received the estimate. The cost of repair will be $8,029.00. About 892536.87 yen. Insurance will pay the expense. I pay the $500 deductible. My roof needs new shingles, so they will completely replace the roof. I'm happy!

ポートレートの親友です。

今日、友達と彼の孫娘のポートレートを描き終えました。 今、日本に発送するために絵を梱包しています！ 彼の孫娘のために素敵な絵のプレゼントを用意しました。 それは、テネシーからの挨拶です。 くまとバンジョーと花があるので、漫画のくまを描きました。 彼女は楽しんでその絵に色を付けることができます。

Today  I finished the portrait of my friend and his granddaughter. Now, I am packing it for delivery to Japan! I drew a surprise gift for his granddaughter. It is a greeting from Tennessee. We have bears, banjos, and flowers, so I drew a cartoon bear.. She can color the picture for fun.

春の絵の進行状況

私は最近とても忙しかったです。 先週の火曜日、私は16時間のシフトを働きました。 私は疲労を回復するために一日かかりました。 先週の金曜日、オープン教室に行くのにあまりにも疲れていました。 今、私は税金の申告もしています！

しかし、2週間前に春の絵を描き始めました。 先ず、私は構図を描きました。 花を描くことに取り組んで、空の色を塗りました。

私は新しいデジタルカメラを使っています。 今のところ、絵画に使う良い写真を撮っていません。 私はカフェに戻って、フレンドリーなバリスタからコーヒーを買いました。 彼女にはフロリダに住んでいる家族がいるので、私の故郷からニュースを聞くのはよいことです。

天気がいいです。 今年は、テネシーに早く春が来ました。 2週間前に花は咲きました。 長年にわたって撮った春の写真のコレクションを投稿しました。 春のインスピレーションです。

I have been very busy lately. Last Tuesday, I worked a 16 hour shift. It took me a day to recover from fatigue. Last Friday, I was too tired to go to Open Studio.
I'm also filing taxes now!

However, 2 weeks ago I started painting the spring picture.
I painted the composition first. I worked on drawing the blooms and painted the sky.

I am using a new digital camera. So far, it doesn't take good photos of paintings. I went back to the cafe and bought coffee from the friendly barista. She has family living in Florida, so it is good to hear news from my birth place.

The weather is good. Spring came to Tennessee early this year. Flowers bloomed two weeks ago. I posted my collection of photos for spring I took over the years. Spring Inspiration

春のインスピレーションです。

激務です！ Hard Labor!

先週は、シフトを変更して、長時間働かなければ なりませんでした。 そのため、絵を描く時間がありませんでした。 この忙しさは私の(かつての)農場生活の記憶を思い起こさせたので、今日は当時の経験について書きます。

 ティーンエイジャーだったとき、フロリダの南東部の町ジュピターで小さな農場に住んでいました。馬や牛、鶏、豚がいました。 農場は大変な仕事でした。 私は毎朝午前4時半に起きて、学校に行く前に農場で働きました。 私の気持ちは気持ちは関係ありませんでした。 仕事をしなければならなかったです。 風邪をひいていたかもしれません。 激しい暴風雨にあったかもしれません！ それでも、私は動物を世話するために毎朝、毎晩、働いていました。

私はそれが好きではなかったですが、一生懸命働くことの価値を学びました。 そして、馬に乗って楽みました！ 私は歩いて森をたくさん探検しました。パルメットの茂みの中の動物の小道を辿っていくのは楽しかったです。

農場生活は、ディズニーワールドでの激務に耐えられるように、私を鍛えてくれました。 一枚目の写真の時、私は13歳でした。 ディズニーの写真の時で、２２歳でした。 1992年ですよ！ 近頃の私は疲れやすいです。 私はもう昔のような体力を持っていません。
 
Last week, I had to change shifts and work for a long time. Therefore, I did not have time to paint. Since hard work reminds me of memories of farm life, I will share a past experience with you.

When I was a teenager, I lived on a small farm in Jupiter, a town in the southeastern part of Florida. We had horses, cows, chickens, and pigs. It was strenuous work. I woke up at 4:30 am every morning and work before going to school. It didn't matter how I felt. I had to work. I might have the flu. There might be a severe storm! Nevertheless, I worked every morning and night to care for the animals.

I didn't like it, but I learned the value of hard work. Still, I enjoyed horseback riding! I explored the woods on foot a lot too. It was fun to follow animal trails through palmetto thickets.

Fram life prepared me for hard work at Disney World. In the photos, I was 13 years old. In the Disney photo, I was 22. That was 1992! I get tired easily these days. I don't have the same strength anymore...Lol!

３つのプロジェクトです！

私は春の絵のスケッチを描き始めました。 何年も前に地元の公園でその写真を撮りました。 ブラッドフォードの木は、私の町ではよく見られます。 新しいモチーフに取り組みつつ、3度目の「冬の道」も描き始めました！ 絵のために新しい油絵の具を買いました｡  ペインズグレーとローアンバーです。 ３度目の正直になるといいのですが！

私は、友達と彼の孫娘のポートレートも描いています。 ポートレートが完成したら、私はそれを日本に郵送します。 私はそれぞれのプロジェクトに心を注ぎます。

I started drawing a sketch for the spring painting. I took the photo many years ago at a local park. Bradford pear trees are common in my town. While I am working on the new motif, I started "Winter Road" a third time! I bought new oil paint for the painting, Payne's gray and raw umber. Third time's a charm!

I am also drawing a portrait of my friend with his granddaughter. When the portrait is completed, I will mail it to Japan. I will pour my heart into each project.

冬の道の絵画の第五段階です。

絵は完成しましたが、私は出来映えに満足していません。 絵は、予定通りに行きませんでした。  なぜか分かりませんが、油絵の具は下層に定着しませんでした。  大部分は正しい色と色調を見つけることができませんでした。  しかし今回の失敗が今後試す手法の新しいアイディアをくれました。 モザイク手法です。 何層にも色を重ねて描く代わりに、一筆ずつパズルのピースのように描きます。 春の絵でモザイク手法を試します。

The painting was completed, but I am not satisfied with the workmanship. The picture did not go as planned. I don't know why, oil paint did not adhere to the lower layers. For the most part I could not find the right colors and tones. But this failure gives me a new idea for a method to try in the future. It is a mosaic method. Instead of painting colors on many layers, I will paint like puzzle pieces one by one. I will try the mosaic method with the spring painting.
